Winner's puts great emphasis on training its employees. The company is the only supermarket chain in Mauritius to have its own training center: "The Winner's Academy". Winner’s is also the first retail company to adopt a green strategy. The “Green Together, Winner’s Forever” programme introduced paper bags at every checkout in 2009, photovoltaic solar panels have been installed on the roof of the Coromandel supermarket and recycling bins have been placed in every supermarket parking lot. In collaboration with NGOs, Winner’s is engaged in the collection of unsold food items for distribution to needy people.
